We are beyond excited for the inaugural Treefort Music Festival at the end of the month with over 130 bands filling multiple venues in the downtown area of Boise. Including: Built to Spill, Of Montreal, Blitzen Trapper, The Cave Singers, Why?, Pickwick, ... and many more.
Sunless Sea Represent
Sunless Sea Records' Aaron Mark Brown will be having his album release party as a part of the festival on Thursday, March 22nd at The Bouquet, 7:00pm. Holy Weak's Nate Berrian will be playing at the festival as a part of the band Mickey the Jump on Saturday, March 24th at The Crux, 11:00pm. Also check out one of our favorite locals the band, Teens, Saturday night at midnight at The Red Room.
Now's Your Chance
There's been a great team of people working hard for months to see this come to fruition and I've been happy to be involved doing whatever it takes to make this a great first year. Though because of distance from the downtown Boise core of the festival, the venue that I manage will not be hosting festival shows, the festival preparations have been great in bringing together those heavily invested in the success and growth of our local music scene. No doubt you are familiar with the ol' Field of Dreams adage, "If you build it, they will come." Well it has been built, and it's a doozie of a tree fort, now come.
